I Believe in God the only one
Maker of the universe, giver of the Son
I believe he rules with him on high
I believe he came to earth one perfect sacrifice
And I believe—I believe that for my sins he hung upon a tree
I believe—I believe he’ll come again and on that day we’ll see
 
With the sun everything comes clear
All our pain and fear then will disappear
When the sunlight streaming through the clouds
Banishes our doubts, with one voice we’ll shout:  “I believe”
 
I believe he died and rose again
Raised to life that we might live, crucified for sin
I believe the Father and the Son
The Holy Spirit lives in me, together they are one
And I believe—I believe his kingdom will come eternally
I believe—With a mighty shout he will appear and we will see
